Makes style history with Jimmy Choo
First Lady of the United States, Michelle Obama, secured her place in the style hall of fame when she opted to wear Jimmy Choo shoes to the 2nd Inaugural Ball last year.
Now, making fashion history again, to coincide with the centennial of the annual First Ladies exhibition held in the Smithsonians National Museum of American History, the current First Lady has lent her famous ensemble - including her Jimmy Choo scarlet satin kitten heels, to go on display as part of the collection.
One of the most popular exhibitions at the Smithsonian, the wide collection of iconic gowns and accessories reveals the changing face of First Lady fashion spanning many decades.
But it's not the first time Jimmy Choo has been worn by Michelle Obama for such a prestigious occasion. The style ambassador chose Choo for her husband's first Inauguration in 2009, opting for white satin peep-toe heels to complement her sparkling gown.
And with Jimmy Choo as her go-to shoe wardrobe, more recently the First Lady attended an event on expanding college opportunity in the South Court Auditorium of the Eisenhower Executive Office Building, wearing patent navy Jimmy Choo AZA pumps.
