These terms and conditions together with any specific instructions on Jimmy Choo’s official website (the “Website”) are the competition rules (the “Rules”) and apply to the Jimmy Choo, Choo Sketch Competition 2020 (the “Competition”).
The Competition commences on 5 April 2020 and will end at midnight on 15 May 2020.
To participate in the Competition, Participants must design a pair of shoes for the Choo Sketch Capsule Collection (“Capsule Collection”).
Jimmy Choo will select ten (10) designs to be put forward to a public vote on Jimmy Choo’s Instagram page.
The top five (5) designs from the public vote will then be manufactured for the Capsule Collection in 2021. All profits from the Capsule Collection will go to a charity under The Jimmy Choo Foundation’s umbrella. The charity will be chosen prior to launch and communicated to all parties.
Entries containing trademarks, racial or offensive language are not acceptable.
Applications that are incomplete, submitted late or that contain false or misleading information will not be admitted in the Competition. Jimmy Choo has no obligation to inform Participants whose applications are inadmissible for these reasons.
Jimmy Choo may, at its sole discretion, apply, interpret, terminate, alter, limit, suspend or modify the Competition, and/or its rules, regulations or benefits at any time, without notice. Any changes will be posted either within these terms and conditions or on Jimmy Choo’s official website. The most recent terms and conditions will always be posted on Jimmy Choo’s official website. Any participant who refuses to accept the modifications to the terms and conditions must cease to take part in the Competition.
The Competition is open to any person aged 18 or over (“Participant”).
To enter, Participants must submit their design via email to the designated email address (firstname.lastname@example.org) and not by any other means. All entries must include, Participants name, country and Instagram handle (if applicable), along with some information about their design.
Employees, officers, directors, agents and representatives of Jimmy Choo and the Capri Holdings Group or close relatives thereto are not eligible to enter the Competition.
Residents in a country or jurisdiction where the competition may breach any law or regulation are not entitled to enter the Competition. Where this applies, Jimmy Choo’s invitation to enter the Competition in such country and/or jurisdiction is withdrawn.
Jimmy Choo reserves the right to verify the eligibility of all Participants and disqualify any Participant if Jimmy Choo has reasonable grounds to believe the Participant is in breach any of the Rules or acts in a way that could harm the name and reputation of Jimmy Choo.
Under no circumstances shall the Participants be considered as employees, agents or associates of Jimmy Choo and participation in the Competition does not grant the Participants the right to act in the name of or on behalf of Jimmy Choo.
The Competition is a game of skill and chance plays no part in the selection of the winners.
Entries will be judged on the Participants’ creativity and innovation.
The top ten (10) selected designs will then be put up to a vote on Jimmy Choo’s Instagram page.
Designs will be live on Instagram for one (1) week and the final count will be taken at midnight of that final night. The vote will be launched on Instagram on 1 June 2020 and ends on midnight on the 7 June 2020, with the winners announced on 8 June 2020.
The winners of the Competition will be the five (5) designs with the most votes.
In the event of any dispute regarding the Rules or the results and all other matters relating to the Competition, the decision of Jimmy Choo is final and no appeal shall be admitted nor shall any correspondence be entered into.
All dates and times are subject to change by Jimmy Choo.
The Participants of the five (5) selected designs in the Competition shall see their design developed and manufactured by Jimmy Choo.
All profits from the sale of the shoes will be donated to a charity under The Jimmy Choo Foundation’s umbrella. The charity will be chosen by Jimmy Choo prior to launch and communicated to all parties.
The winning Participants will each be provided with a pair of their winning shoes.
The top five (5) designs may be changed or altered for manufacturing purposes at Jimmy Choo’s sole discretion. The Participant’s sketches, design name and design information may be edited for marketing purposes.
Intellectual Property Rights and Use of Entries
For the purpose of judging the Competition, Participants grant to Jimmy Choo a perpetual, irrevocable, exclusive, transferable, sub-licensable, royalty-free worldwide licence to any content covered by intellectual property rights, including but not limited to documents, sketches, artworks, photographs, likeness, illustrations and edits submitted to the Competition. Under this licence, Jimmy Choo is authorised to use all or part of the content, by any means and as often as Jimmy Choo deems necessary within the scope of the Competition.
The Participants guarantee that they hold all intellectual property rights to the content in the entries and have the right to grant the above mentioned licence to Jimmy Choo.
The Participants guarantee that the content in the entries does not infringe any third party rights and that it is not subject to any third party claims or actions of infringement or invalidity. Jimmy Choo reserves the right to remove any entries based on suspicion of intellectual property right infringement.
Participants agree to be named and partake in marketing (not limited to photographs, statements and appearances) for Jimmy Choo where appropriate in relation to the Competition at Jimmy Choo’s sole direction.
